Newspaper pots
Here is a clever way to make little pots out of newspaper.
Use them to germinate your seeds, then plant the whole thing either in the ground or in a larger container that they will be grown in. The newspaper will gradually decompose.

You might ask, why not sow your seeds straight in the ground? It's easier to look after little seedlings when grown in pots or modules, protecting them from the cold to start off, as well as from slugs and diseases. They can then be planted out when a bit bigger and stronger. Check out seeds sowing links in Make your own plants.
